Terms & Conditions

Last updated 12 June 2026

1. Agreement and operator

Opono Football is operated by Opono Network Limited (“Opono”, “we”, “us”). These Terms govern your access to our website, football-analysis workbench, simulations, forecasts, reports, paid passes, credits, APIs, exports, and related services (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Opono Football does

Opono Football is an AI football-analysis product. It uses models, simulations, football data, and user-selected scenarios to estimate and explain match probabilities, scorelines, expected goals, scorers, assists, player and lineup impact, live match states, tournament paths, counterfactuals, and related outputs. The product starts with FIFA World Cup 2026 and may later cover other competitions, sports, data feeds, APIs, integrations, and analysis formats.

3. AI and prediction limits

Football is uncertain. AI systems and sports data can be incomplete, delayed, stale, misinterpreted, or wrong. Probabilities are not facts; simulations are sample worlds, not official results. Late injuries, tactical decisions, weather, refereeing, data-provider errors, market information, and real-world events may not be reflected. You are responsible for checking whether an output is accurate and appropriate for your use before relying on it or sharing it. Do not use outputs as the sole basis for a decision that could have a legal, financial, employment, medical, eligibility, disciplinary, or similarly material effect on a person.

4. Information and entertainment only

The Service and every output it produces are provided for information and entertainment only. First and foremost, Opono does not promote, encourage, endorse, recommend, facilitate, broker, intermediate, introduce users to, or act as an affiliate for any betting, gambling, wagering activity, sportsbook, bookmaker, exchange, casino, or betting platform. Opono is not a bookmaker, gambling operator, betting exchange, tipster, affiliate, odds provider, agent, broker, introducer, intermediary, payment processor, financial adviser, investment adviser, or risk management service. The Service does not accept wagers, hold gambling funds, set official odds, guarantee returns, or guarantee sporting outcomes. No forecast, probability, simulation, ranking, report, model analysis, or live update should be treated as betting advice, financial advice, professional advice, or a promise that an event will happen, and no output should be used as a basis to place, increase, reduce, hedge, copy, promote, or recommend any bet, wager, gambling activity, financial trade, or similar risk-taking transaction.

5. Eligibility

To create an account or use the Service, you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use online services. If you are under the age of legal majority, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

To buy a pass, buy credits, or use paid features, you must have legal capacity to make the purchase or have permission from a parent or legal guardian and the person responsible for the payment method. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, publication, team, platform, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. You may use the Service only where it is lawful for you to do so and only if you are not barred under applicable sanctions, export, or consumer-protection laws.

6. Accounts and security

Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. Authentication is handled through WorkOS. You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity is caused by our failure to use reasonable care or by a security incident that the law makes our responsibility.

7. Passes, credits, billing, and refunds

Paid passes and credit packs are processed through Stripe or another checkout provider we identify at checkout. The price, currency, and any taxes for a purchase are the ones shown at checkout; prices may change for future purchases, and your bank or payment provider may apply its own fees or exchange rates. A pass is a one-time purchase for the stated tournament or access period unless checkout clearly says it renews. Credits are consumed by analysis, solve, simulation, live-rerun, what-if, and similar paid runs at the cost shown in the product. Credit balances are server-authoritative, have no cash value, are not gambling tokens, are not withdrawable, and may not be transferred or resold.

Purchased credits are not designed to expire while your account and the paid-credit feature remain available. Promotional, trial, or granted credits may expire if we disclose that condition. Payments for used credits and supplied digital access are non-refundable except where required by law. If consumer law gives you a withdrawal, cooling-off, refund, repair, replacement, or price-reduction right, that right still applies. Where the law allows, your right to cancel or receive a full refund may be reduced or lost once you request immediate digital access, use a paid pass, or spend credits.

8. Enterprise, API, and commercial use

Creator sharing, saved projects, share cards, and reports are allowed only within the rights included in your plan. Bulk exports, API access, embeds, white-label graphics, resale, republication as a data feed, sportsbook use, professional trading use, and other commercial distribution require an Enterprise plan or our written permission. If you have a separate signed agreement or order form with Opono, that agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms.

9. Your inputs, saved work, and feedback

You may provide team selections, scenarios, prompts, notes, uploaded material, and other inputs, and you may save workbench state in your account. You retain any rights you have in those inputs. You grant Opono a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and use them as needed to provide, secure, support, measure, and improve the Service. Do not submit confidential, personal, proprietary, or third-party material unless you have the right to do so. If you send feedback or product suggestions, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

10. Outputs and ownership

Subject to these Terms and your plan, you may use the outputs generated for your account. Opono and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, software, models, model behaviour, simulations, methods, prompts, interfaces, databases, data compilations, brand, and underlying technology. Outputs may not be unique; other users may receive similar or identical outputs. Some outputs include or derive from third-party data and may be subject to third-party rights, attribution requirements, and usage limits. You must not present an output as official, guaranteed, independently verified, endorsed by a football body, or generated by a human analyst unless that is true.

11. Third-party services and data

The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure, authentication, payment, database, analytics, data, sports-data, cloud, and communications providers, including WorkOS, Stripe, Convex, Vercel, PostHog, SportMonks, and others. Third-party services and data may be delayed, changed, suspended, inaccurate, or subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party products or websites outside our control, except where the law says otherwise.

Opono is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with FIFA, any confederation, league, federation, national association, club, tournament organiser, or player. FIFA, competition names, club names, federation names, player names, logos, and marks belong to their respective owners. We use such names solely to identify and describe the real-world teams, competitions, and matches our analysis concerns, and any use of a mark does not imply a formal relationship unless we state one in writing.

12. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
  • use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, deceptively, harmfully, or in a way that infringes anyone's rights;
  • use the Service to operate a sportsbook, gambling product, odds feed, betting syndicate, trading desk, or risk-management product without our written agreement and every required licence;
  • encourage illegal gambling, target minors with gambling-related material, or imply that Opono guarantees a bet, price, return, or result;
  • scrape, crawl, bulk download, or automatically extract data or outputs except through authorised product features or APIs;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, probe, or attempt to discover source code, model weights, prompts, system design, non-public data, or security controls;
  • use outputs, data, or product behaviour to build, train, benchmark, or improve a competing model, prediction engine, sports-data feed, or analytics product;
  • resell, sublicense, syndicate, or redistribute outputs as a standalone database, odds service, or competing feed;
  • submit malware, overload the Service, bypass rate limits, abuse credits, create accounts to evade limits, or interfere with security or availability;
  • upload or process personal data about players, staff, users, or other people without a lawful basis and any required notices or consents;
  • use the Service to make or automate decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about an individual; or
  • remove attribution, misstate the source of an output, or imply sponsorship, endorsement, or official status where none exists.

13. Fair use, enforcement, and suspension

We may apply rate limits, usage limits, credit checks, fraud checks, and technical controls. We may suspend or terminate access, withhold runs, remove content, or refuse a transaction if we reasonably believe there is a breach of these Terms, legal risk, security risk, payment failure, sanctions issue, abuse, or misuse of the Service. If you believe we made a mistake, contact us and we will review the decision.

14. Service changes and availability

Opono Football is a developing product. We may add, change, limit, suspend, or remove features, models, data sources, competitions, credit costs, plans, APIs, and outputs. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect paid access, unless urgent legal, security, operational, data-provider, or abuse-prevention reasons make advance notice impractical. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available during every match.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion through support, subject to records we must keep for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud, or dispute reasons. If your account is terminated for breach, you may lose access to saved work, unused promotional credits, and paid features, except where a refund or other remedy is required by law.

16. Intellectual property

Opono, the Opono Football name and branding, the product design, software, models, simulations, databases, analysis formats, and generated product experience are owned by Opono or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose under these Terms and your plan. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

17. Consumer rights are preserved

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or changes rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or changed. This includes mandatory consumer rights that may apply in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Turkey, Brazil, the United States, or your country of residence. If any part of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory local consumer right, that right controls for you.

18. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that outputs will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your particular purpose. We do not warrant that a forecast will match the actual result of a match, tournament, player performance, market, or event. These disclaimers do not remove any warranty, digital content, digital service, or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

19. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot be limited, breach of non-excludable consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for business losses, trading losses, gambling losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

If you use the Service for business, professional, media, team, platform, or commercial purposes, Opono will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, or sporting or betting outcomes. For business users, Opono's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Opono for the Service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) £100.

20. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except that consumers retain the benefit of any mandatory laws of their country of residence. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but consumers may bring claims in any court or forum where mandatory local law gives them that right. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue.

21. Changes, notices, and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect product changes, legal requirements, security needs, provider requirements, or normal business development. Material changes that negatively affect paid access will be notified by email, in-product notice, or another reasonable method. If you continue using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

If a term is unenforceable, the rest of these Terms will continue. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or rights without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of the Service, provided your mandatory rights are not reduced.
